Well, I think the title says it all. When it comes to wall art, bigger is better! I have put together this guide to give some perspective about what people *think* is big! As you can see, over a sofa, one 11×14 isn’t going to make a big impact. The 16×20 and 16×24 are what most people buy when they think of going BIG. These sizes work really well as part of a larger wall gallery, but alone, don’t really make a huge statement. For a single piece above a mantle, sofa, crib, etc. I would suggest at least a 20×30 and that 30×40 is what I am going for when I have my own family portrait session later this year. I will be working on some posts that include multiple images with varying sizes. And this guide is good for framed prints as well!
I hope this helps gain some perspective about what is really BIG. And because I WANT for all of you to have big, beautiful images on your walls, all gallery wraps 16×20 and larger will be 25% off until May 31. I’ll even open up 2011 galleries if you’d like to purchase from your session! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details!
