Bigger is Better – Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Alabama Photography

Well, I think the title says it all. When it comes to wall art, bigger is better! I have put together this guide to give some perspective about what people *think* is big! As you can see, over a sofa, one 11×14 isn’t going to make a big impact. The 16×20 and 16×24 are what most people buy when they think of going BIG. These sizes work really well as part of a larger wall gallery, but alone, don’t really make a huge statement. For a single piece above a mantle, sofa, crib, etc. I would suggest at least a 20×30 and that 30×40 is what I am going for when I have my own family portrait session later this year. I will be working on some posts that include multiple images with varying sizes. And this guide is good for framed prints as well!

I hope this helps gain some perspective about what is really BIG. And because I WANT for all of  you to have big, beautiful images on your walls, all gallery wraps 16×20 and larger will be 25% off until May 31. I’ll even open up 2011 galleries if you’d like to purchase from your session! Email me at for more details!

And fellow photographers, check out these wall display templates here.
