This is my 3rd year with this fun family. They really are such a kind, loving, fun family, and I am so grateful that they keep including me in their vacation!
I get a lot of questions about how extended family sessions work and if we have enough time in just an hour to get everything. I do limit the number of people in a session to 14 for this reason. Because more than that, I don’t feel like I can cover everything in an hour, and I am a one woman show. So we normally start with the big group because that is the focus of an extended family session. Then, we get grandparents with their adult children, with the grandchildren, adult siblings, just grandchildren….then we move on to individual families. Within each individual family, I try to make time to have at least one individual shot of each child. But this depends on time and cooperation level of everyone involved. This also gives smaller kids a break for a few minutes and time to play a little or grab a snack. I do like for everyone involved in the session to hang around for the entire hour. Because sometimes we re-do groupings at the very end of the session as well. If you are vacationing to our beautiful beaches and would like to schedule a session, contact me! I’d love to meet you and photograph your family!
