I have been thinking a lot about seasons in life. And just like the song by the Byrds says, “to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose, under heaven.” My photography business came along at a season in my life when I desperately needed it. I wanted to be home with my children during the day. I shot sessions in the evenings. I did my editing when they napped. It wasn’t easy or perfect. But it was a good fit for our family. And it has been a HUGE blessing in our lives. I have met many wonderful clients that have become friends. I have had the privilege of watching your children grow up over the years. And I am deeply grateful to each and every client that has let me in to photograph their special memories. But……I feel like I am entering into a new season of my life and with that, some changes are coming. My children don’t need me so much during the day anymore. They need me to haul them to ballet, soccer, sleepovers with friends, and all of the other demands of a young family. On weekends, they want to go to the pool, boat, or fish. And I’d like to be able to be present for those things. So effective immediately, I am no longer taking new clients. To my established clients, don’t worry. I will always make time for you! I will still be offering mini sessions this fall and will continue to do that as long as it is a good fit for my family. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. Again, I appreciate each and every one of you that has been part of this incredible journey with me. It’s been a fun ride.
